This is to inform the general public that the Bank of Industry BOI has introduced a new Empowerment program called the Rural Area Programme On Investment for Development (RAPID). Applications are invited from all interested applicants to apply for the program using the application link provided below.
About Rapid
The objective of the programme is to provide financial support to enterprises located in rural and economically disadvantaged areas of our economy. This will ensure that resources flow to these communities from entrepreneurial activities that will provide employment, improve standard of living, contribute to gross domestic product (GDP), promote capacity and skill development, tame insecurity arising from youth restiveness and unemployment. The Bank hopes to achieve the foregoing through the Rural Area Programme on Investment for Development (RAPID) initiative. RAPID will provide financial support to nano, micro and small-scale businesses in the rural locations. In addition to financial support, beneficiaries would also have access to business advisory services and training programmes to ensure businesses are sustainable and well managed for future growth and expansion possibilities.

Eligibility to Apply for Bank of Industry (BOI) Rapid Empowerment Program
Duly registered Enterprises and Cooperative Societies operating in rural or economically disadvantaged areas of Nigeria are eligible to apply.
What types of businesses does RAPID support?
RAPID shall provide support in value-adding activities excluding trading and farming. These include activities in manufacturing, agribusiness, processing, and other ventures contributing to economic diversification and job creation in rural areas.

What financial support does RAPID provide?
RAPID will provide financial support loan worth about N10 million to beneficiaries in other for them to acquire plants/machinery and raw materials for their day-to-day operations.
